2014 Aspiring Entrepreneurs!
Aspiring entrepreneurs! You are invited to learn from industry experts, academics, business mentors and coaches at the Palouse Knowledge Corridor’s Be the Entrepreneur Bootcamp, June 21-25 in Pullman, Washington and Moscow, Idaho and on the campuses of Washington State University and the University of Idaho. Learn about the entrepreneurial mindset: how to turn an idea into an opportunity with real market potential; how to develop a business model and use that to create a winning business plan; and where to look for the funding needed to launch. Our bootcamp instructors represent the best in research, science, technology and business in a two-university, resource-rich region. Participants will walk away from the five-day camp with a fully-developed business plan, covering the gamut from advancing a business model to how to pitch to investors. This program is designed to maximize the take-away value to real entrepreneurs in three tracks: value-added agriculture, animal health, and technology and innovation. The three topics have been selected based on experts in the area and demand in the Inland Pacific Northwest.
Participants will also learn when to protect their intellectual property, how to market their new revenue streams, and all about the risks, liabilities, and certification issues that will arise. Newly-minted entrepreneurs will leave with a plan of attack for their expansion into more productive, more profitable enterprises.
