2017 Palouse Pitch
You’re Invited To The 4th Annual Palouse Pitch!
This event is free and open to the public, however, attendance is limited to the first 150 people.
Gather with business leaders, community members, and BTE Bootcamp campers and staff at this year’s Palouse Pitch event. Attendees will have the chance to swap business pitches and network with some of the Palouse’s best and brightest.
Held at the University of Idaho’s Integrated Research and Innovation Center, the doors open at 6:30 pm and the event kicks off at 7:00. Upon arrival guests will have the chance to enjoy socializing with other attendees, grab a free drink, and snack on some delicious hors d-oeurves. After a short time, the festivities will begin.
Campers and community members alike will have the chance to pitch their businesses idea as many times as possible in a succession of “speed dating” timed-intervals requiring short, precise, efficient phrasing, followed by rapid-fire questions and answers. Designed for campers to have some real world experience in a friendly setting, the Palouse Pitch adds enough tension to help campers learn to think on their feet and refine their ideas in real-time.
After the speed-pitches guests gather for the Entrepreneur of the Palouse (ETOP) Awards. Winners are nominated by people in their community and selected by Bootcamp Board Members for excellence in one of three categories: Non-profit, Rising Star, and Business. Along with the awards, a short video describing more about each winner, their business and why they were selected. Following the final acceptance speeches, attendees are encouraged to greet each winner.
After the Awards Ceremony, all guests will be welcome to return to socializing and tours of the innovative IRIC space. The event concludes at 9:00 pm.
