Health Industry Track
The Next Hub For Medical Innovation
While BTE Bootcamp™ serves as a valuable development and connection-building opportunity, it also serves as a place for the coming together of great minds oriented toward making the Palouse an even stronger region. Early on, a dedicated Health Industry Track has been an emphasis in the BTE Bootcamp™. With the establishment of the Elson S. Floyd College of Medicine, the Inland Northwest is poised to become the next hub for medical innovation.
“Our region is uniquely situated to leverage the development of a medical school in Spokane as a source of ideas and innovations that can be translated into products that can benefit patients and practitioners alike,” Said Brian Kraft, SKILD (Scholarly Knowledge, Innovation, and Leadership Development) Director and Director of Business Development for the College of Arts and Sciences at Washington State University. “The BTE Bootcamp™ Health Track serves to bring differing regional assets into a single forum to support new ideas and entrepreneurial individuals. The power and potential are there, the BTE Bootcamp™ Health Track pulls it together to build the ecosystem.”
Animal Health And Human Health
BTE Bootcamp™ fosters this development by supporting developing businesses in the medical field, as well as providing an invaluable opportunity to start a dialogue with valuable connections in the elite Health industry through the Health Track, sponsored by Pullman Regional Hospital. This year’s Health Track will be a combination of the Animal Health and Human Health tracks of previous years, bringing together two industry giants in the Palouse region. The Health track aims to bring the two sides together to enable opportunities for aspiring entrepreneurs and industry experts in both fields to come together, educate each other, and grow as a group of minds with a common goal. The Health Track will be joined by other industry-focused tracks, such as Value-Added Agriculture, Technology and Innovation, and Outdoor Recreation. The 2016 BTE Bootcamp™ runs from June 12th to 16th.
