TerraGraphics Environmental Engineering
TerraGraphics – A Local/Global Business
TerraGraphics Environmental Engineering, Inc. has been working to support our community for over 30 years. Based in Moscow since 1984, this business has facilitated the cleanup of environmentally contaminated sites both locally, throughout the Northwest, and on a global scale in Russia, the Dominican Republic, Senegal, and Nigeria.
“Our mission is to develop reliable engineering and environmental solutions in partnership with our clients and communities worldwide, through employees who exemplify integrity, honesty, commitment, and respect” said Chief Operating Officer, Jerry Lee.
Thriving And Paying It Forward
TerraGraphics’ commitment to restore the environment is matched by their passion for supporting the community in which they thrive.
Supporting The Community
Along with supporting such local organizations as the local food bank, the Renaissance Fair, math competitions at our schools, Alternatives to Violence on the Palouse, and other local charities, they also “work closely with the University of Idaho and Washington State University, as well as other small businesses in the Palouse including Anatek Labs, Strata, and Hodges Engineering, to complete this work.” Said Lee.
TerraGraphics International Foundation
The founders of TerraGraphics have also created a non-profit company called the TerraGraphics International Foundation, which seeks to reduce health risks from environmental contaminants and assist communities with the development of remediation projects. Both the TerraGraphics International Foundation and TerraGraphics Environmental Engineering, Inc. focus on developing the local economy and well-being of the community.
Improving Our Entrepreneurial Environment
It is because of their commitment to fostering success in our community that TerraGraphics decided to support and sponsor Be The Entrepreneur Bootcamp.
“The Bootcamp is an exceptional way to help educate entrepreneurs looking to start a business in the Palouse. Starting a business is exciting, rewarding and often extremely challenging. We need to use all the resources that our area offers. This increases our odds of success which in turn benefits other area businesses and community members,” John Lee said of the program.
TerraGraphics saw supporting BTE Bootcamp as an opportunity to help other businesses and expand the local business pool, to expand their own networking circle, and ultimately give back to benefit the local and regional economies. While supporting our local universities and medical institutions is vital, Lee said that we also need to focus on facilitating the success of small businesses: “The more we have business diversity, the fuller our lives will be.”
The Palouse Advantage
One of the many advantages of our area is the proximity to two great universities, meaning access to departmental experts to help local projects, as well as bright and high-energy students looking to start their careers.
As many of us know, the Palouse is a truly unique place to do business. With its unparalleled beauty and strong community, people find it hard to leave the Palouse. “Once people experience our quality of life, they want to stay.”
