Washington Trust Bank
My name is Courtney Bird. I am the branch manager for the Washington Trust Bank Moscow Financial Center and I serve as the Moscow Chamber of Commerce board representative for the Palouse Knowledge Corridor. I’m passionate about people. That’s why I love Washington Trust.
At Washington Trust Bank our mission is clear and unwavering: We will focus our unique strengths as a community bank on serving customers who perceive a distinct value in building long-term relationships.
As the oldest and largest privately-held commercial bank in the Northwest, with more than 40 financial centers and offices in Washington, Idaho and Oregon, we enjoy an advantage over our publicly-owned competitors. We base our decisions and policies on what’s happening right here in the Northwest—not in distant locales. Being independent, we are able to set our sights on long-term goals rather than quarterly results. We stay focused on doing the right things for our clients and our communities.
Since 1902, our success has been achieved by providing exceptional customer service. We take the time to understand the needs of our clients; then strive to meet those every day. We believe in empowering employees to make decisions that create value for our customers. By offering innovative products, custom service, fast decision–making and expert financial guidance, we are committed to helping clients achieve their financial goals.
From our personal banking representatives to our private and commercial bankers and wealth management advisors, Washington Trust has built its reputation on a tradition of creating strong relationships. For more than a century, Washington Trust has been earning the trust and confidence of individuals and businesses around our region. We know there’s no substitute for experience. That’s why our banking specialists are seasoned experts you can trust to offer the best options for you.
Every customer’s financial needs are unique. We invest the time necessary to gain an in-depth understanding of what you need, so we can offer custom solutions tailored to those specific needs. Our proactive approach enables us to identify exceptional opportunities and develop innovative offerings that often go beyond typical products and solutions.
Washington Trust continues to promote the economic growth and success of the communities we serve. We are committed to business banking and lending to companies in our communities, we have a strong dedication to helping all members of our communities thrive. In addition to the bank’s financial contributions, our employees dedicate time, energy, and leadership to hundreds of charitable organizations and worthy causes—making a palpable difference in our communities.
Personally, I want to be a catalyst for the growth we hope to see in the community. The Palouse became home for my husband and I in November of 2015 when we moved from Spokane, WA after I accepted a promotion with Washington Trust. I’m invested in taking businesses to the next level and this was an opportunity to give back to a great community.
Being a part of Be The Entrepreneur Bootcamp™ (BTE Bootcamp™) has been a privilege. With experience in Startup Weekend Spokane, I bring a unique perspective to the table. I’ve enjoyed supporting local businesses as they develop and work through some of the hardest phases of growth. I do it because I care about people and I want to see them succeed. I want to see the Palouse succeed. There are so many untapped ideas and unseen businesses on the Palouse and I look forward to helping bring those to the forefront. I look forward to helping retain the business we do have here, and attracting the business we’re missing. It’s a wonderful area and I’m glad to be a part.
